Greene County district court, week ending Sept. 29

In Greene County district court Alicia Marie Hawkins, 33, of Jefferson was sentenced to seven days in jail after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana- second offense. The jail term was suspended and she was placed on probation to Boone/Greene County Probation for one year. She must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She was fined $855 with a $128.25 surcharge. Paying restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and court costs is pending a hearing on her ability to pay. (Sentencing: Honorable Joseph B. McCarville)

Patricia Joann Day, 65, of Fort Dodge was granted a deferred judgment after she changed her plea to guilty to a charge of possession of marijuana. She was placed on informal probation to the Greene County sheriff for one year, and she must undergo a substance abuse evaluation and complete any recommended treatment at her own expense. She must pay a $430 civil penalty, an amount not to exceed $600 restitution for her court appointed attorney’s fees and $100 court costs. A companion case in magistrate court in which Day was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia was dismissed. Court costs were $60 in that case. (Sentencing: McCarville)

Rene Dominguez, 39, of New Ulm, MN, pleaded not guilty Sept. 26 to charges of sex abuse- second degree and lascivious acts with child- fondle or touch. A trial date is set for Dec. 12.

Cases were initiated in district court as follows: Isabell Amanda Perez, 21, of Churdan, unauthorized use of credit card less than $1,500, three counts; Devin Christopher Hackfort, 27, of Jefferson, assault on persons in certain occupation- bodily injury, and interference with official acts inflict bodily injury; Kailee Kay Davidson, 23, of Boone, possession of marijuana- second offense and possession of methamphetamine- second offense; Jordan A. Patterson, 23, of Jefferson, possession of marijuana; Christopher Herbert Lawrence, 43, of Ames, possession of methamphetamine- third or subsequent offense, and operating while intoxicated; Audrie Leiann Lawrence, 23, of Jefferson, possession of methamphetamine; and William Poio of Jefferson, possession of marijuana.
